The Prince of Tennis is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takeshi Konomi. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 1999 to March 2008, with 42 tankōbon volumes. The manga was licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media. The series also spawned a 178-episode anime television series and three original video animation (OVA) series with a total of 26 episodes. The anime aired from October 2001 to January 2009.
